🗻 Game Of Thrones Books Vs Show Reddit

While season 4 was a matter of weeks and in the book the end of the trial with Shae and Tyrions confession and the mountain vs Oberyn is the same chapter. So season 4 dragged out the trial a lot, but imo was better as Peter Dinklages confession was amazing. The show had what Tyrion said and thought in the books had it be dialog in the show. Well I just finished my second rewatch of the show after watching it for the first time in August (I’ve become obsessed). Now I just got the first… 82 votes, 204 comments. Please note that due to the nature of Tyrion and Jorah have been whitewashed since the beginning of the show. Book-Tyrion is a fool when it comes to Shae (obviously book-Shae had different motivations), he's jealous (only hired extremely ugly guards to protect Shae), and he's willing to do dark things (singer stew). And Book-Jorah isn't the kind/compassionate guy he is in the show. I watched Game of Thrones before I started reading ASoIaF and found that all of the characters were really well done in the show. They're pretty much represented the way they are in the books (except that Catelyn is like 100x more crazy about Bran's accident in the book). The only character that seems completely different to me was Renly. The both show had a lot of fans. The both show were rated very high while the shows were going on. But, Breaking Bad objectively had a better ending/final season than Game of thrones. It was getting better and better when season was going on when it comes to Breaking Bad. dmitrijohn. • 5 yr. ago. "A Game of Thrones" "A Clash of Kings" "A Storm of Swords" "A Feast for Crows" "A Dance with Dragons". "Winds of Winter" "A Dream of Spring". The last 2 books haven't been released yet, but the first 5 are extensive, and should be plenty to enjoy for now until book 6 comes out. Read them in the order shown from top to dancedor • 7 yr. ago. The show Cersei is just a woman, shaped by the circumstances, who legitimately tries to fight and win in a world, set up against her. Book Cersei is a psychopath, a legitimately a crazy person who also is fairly stupid. The changes in the prophecy did result in the changes of Cersei's motivations and behaviour, true, but Some characters story lines were simplified a lot more for the show than others. I would say that season 1 very closely follows the events in book 1 but then from season 2 the show diverges more and more from the books. Also the show doesn't have half of the detail that the books have so honestly I would recommend just starting from the beginning. jCfq.
